The Pete Frates Center
Boston College
Named in honor of Boston College baseball captain Pete Frates (’07), the Pete Frates Center provides much needed state-of-the-art indoor spaces for the school’s baseball and softball teams and improves the overall athletic experience at the school. Located adjacent to the baseball and softball fields of the Harrington Athletics Village on BC’s Brighton campus, the two-story, 31,140 square-foot building replaced an existing 50-spot surface parking lot. The first floor of the new Frates Center houses team locker rooms, space for strength training and conditioning, sports medicine, and associated support space, as well as a hospitality area for guests on game days. The second floor contains a turf field for indoor practice and hitting tunnels for batting practice, allowing student athletes the opportunity to practice year-round.
