Stokes Hall
Boston College
Located in the heart of BC’s campus and representing a cornerstone of Boston College’s institutional master plan, the authentic Gothic-style Stokes Hall is a new hub for academic classrooms and faculty offices and houses as an array of student programs and support spaces. Stokes Hall consists of two buildings connected by a bridge that unifies the two spaces.
“Walsh Brothers proved to be an important part of our project team and displayed an acute understanding of the College's unique needs and goals.”

Stokes Hall was built in accordance with Old World construction techniques to achieve the traditional BC Gothic stone design using Ashlar. To keep the look of the new building consistent with the Gothic aesthetic present on BC’s campus, the project required the Ashlar be custom-quarried in Maine, where each stone was given a unique design and dimensions. The Stokes Hall project was constructed on a fast-track schedule and has achieved LEED Silver certification.
