Salem Hospital Campus Consolidation
Mass General Brigham
A mix of renovation, new construction, site/roadway improvements, and central utility plant upgrades on an active hospital campus, the Salem Hospital Campus Consolidation project created a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, a new inpatient floor featuring 24 private patient rooms, and the Epstein Center for Behavioral Health, a 120-bed behavioral health/psychiatric facility, one of the largest inpatient behavioral health facilities in Massachusetts.
“The best parts about working with Walsh are the relationships that have been made and the trust that has been forged. In my years of working in this industry, including as a construction manager, the people of Walsh have been the most honest, straight forward, knowledgeable, and collaborative.”

Constructed between the pre-existing structures, the new four-story facility connects to the existing hospital, creating a more welcoming front entrance and addressing complex campus wayfinding issues.
