Carmelita Landry Arena Renovation
Fitchburg State University / MSCBA
The revitalization of Landry Arena at Fitchburg State University transformed the decommissioned ice facility into a renovated athletic building that is the public face for varsity sports at Fitchburg State.
“Throughout the project the Walsh Brothers team demonstrated its commitment by bringing a dedicated, knowledgeable and organized approach, where they were well prepared for the challenges that are always present when working on a renovation with unknown conditions, as well as showing patience and flexibility as owner requirements changed during the course of the project.”

The new Arena, named in honor of national speedskating champion Carmelita Landry, one of the most decorated athlete’s in Fitchburg’s history, also includes office space for the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and will allow residents to use the facilities during off seasons.
