Building Communities
It Comes Naturally.
Walsh Brothers has made a conscious effort to be an outstanding corporate citizen in the communities in which we build by supporting charitable, environmental, educational, historical, and cultural initiatives.
The Walsh Cup & Pediatric Cancer.
Walsh Brothers hosts an annual golf tournament and charity event designed to bring industry partners, clients, and employees together to further the firm’s commitment to relationship building, collaborative teamwork, and charitable outreach. The Walsh Cup is held every September at The Charles River Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts. Golfers and guests enjoy a competitive and spirited event followed by a charity auction and entertainment. Since its inception, proceeds from the Walsh Cup have been donated to pediatric cancer care and research.
Restoring America’s Oldest Merchant Vessel.
While excavating land for the new Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in the Charlestown Navy Yard, the Walsh Brother’s crew uncovered an old timber basin – an underground storage area that was used in the 19th century to store spare parts for wooden sailing vessels. Walsh Brothers donated 300 of these 150-year old timbers, each weighing 10,000 pounds, to the Mystic Seaport Museum for the much-needed restoration of the Charles W. Morgan, the last remaining commercial whaleship in the world.
Rebuilding Together Boston.
Walsh Brothers is proud to have had the opportunity to volunteer with Rebuilding Together Boston. Being able to assist such a great organization and being part of a team that builds homes for those in need offers a great feeling of excitement and accomplishment.
