Walsh Brothers Celebrates Official Ribbon Cutting at Brigham and Women's Hospital

On September 22nd, 2014, Betsy Nabel, MD, President of Brigham and Women's Hospital, joined by Thea and James Stoneman, cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the Brigham and Women's Hospital Patient Parking Garage and Thea and James M. Stoneman Centennial Park. The design-build project, located at 15 Francis Street in the busy Longwood Medical Area, provides a 4-story, 400-car underground parking facility for patients and family members of the hospital. The much-needed garage is topped with a public park that serves as a new gateway into the Brigham and Women's Hospital campus. The Centennial Park provides a comforting and inviting green space for the entire community. The project was designed by Simon Design Engineering and HDR Architecture, Inc. and was constructed in 24-months. Walsh Brothers is proud to have been a member of the team that successfully completed this project not only for the patients, staff and visitors of the hospital, but also for the neighbors who will get to enjoy the new 40,000 square-feet of green space.
