Walsh Brothers, Incorporated, a Boston-based construction management firm nominated longstanding and revered client, Boston University for Induction into the Massachusetts Building Congress Hall of Fame. On October 9th after a rigorous selection process Boston University was selected as the winner and was formally inducted into the Second Annual Hall of Fame in front of 475 attendees.  This prestigious honor recognizes, celebrates, and publicizes the work of exemplary companies whose longstanding contributions have lasting impact on the industry, community, and the clients which they serve.

The Massachusetts Building Congress awards are well respected and given only to those companies who represent the best in the industry. Therefore, Walsh Brothers nominated Boston University, based on the institution’s commitment to equality, diversity, community service, and neighborhood involvement as well as its impact on innovation, scientific research, and environmental initiatives. Other Boston area companies honored as inaugural inductees into the Hall of Fame included:    S&F Concrete Contractors, Inc., Kenneth Himmel of the Related Companies, and Howard Elkus, FAIA of Elkus Manfredi Architects.

A fourth generation managed, family-owned firm, Walsh Brothers, Inc was inducted into the MBC Hall of Fame last year for its contribution to the advancement of the construction industry along with its community involvement and philanthropy, project innovation, leadership and collaboration and environmental stewardship.  Over its 106 year history the firm has had a major impact on Boston’s skyline through its construction of some of the city’s largest and most complex buildings in the arts, cultural, academic and healthcare markets.  The firm has had the privilege of working with many of the region’s most prestigious institutions and commercial firms.
